One of ArtPhilly’s collaborations with the Philadelphia Latino Arts and Film Festival will feature a selection of films with themes related to Puerto Rico and Roberto Clemente. The event presents a unique opportunity: an evening of screening baseball films at the iconic Roberto Clemente Park. This initiative celebrates America’s pastime and pays homage to the first Latino player to be inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame. The activation of the park will provide audiences with new perspectives, highlighting the interwoven nature of our cultures through sport and the universal language of Film. The theme of What Now plays into the central themes of this event, inviting people to think about the site’s history and significance. As the city of Philadelphia continues to grow and its neighborhoods evolve, this outdoor screening offers a unique educational opportunity for the local community to learn about its rich history through film.
